Fiscal, Larry Hughes, Treasurer, reported
CAMPA received the $200,000 facilities grant on February 3, 2015. It was reported that we need $339,000 to fix the first module using the contractor, ACA Interiors. There was discussion on how we would finance the $139,000more needed for renovation.
Larry will restructure the original CSP grant to increase the amount in the budget for facilities to meet the cost of the renovation.
We received $103,000 from the first pay out of the CSP grant last April. The balance in our account at the time of these minutes is $75,000.
Viola Abbott articulated that we need to consider fund raisers and grants moving forward. Some of the ideas mentioned were: Robert Woods Initiative on Obesity, My Brother’s Keeper, Target, Coke Cola Foundation and Verizon.
It was suggested that we consider asking Stephanie Mauterstock to write some grants for CAMPA, since she has been successful with past grants.
We are still working on the Student and Family Handbook.
